All good things come to an end...

I think that my presentation went pretty well today. After the presentation I went to the machine shop to do some machining with the ME kids who have helped us on our project from the beginning. I am sad that my time as an intern at RIT is over. This was one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had. I am so thankful that this happened to me and I got to have this adventure. I am going to miss the lab and working there everyday. It was always fun and we laughed and had a good time even if things were frusterating with work. I am going to miss everything about not working there anymore. It is going to feel so weird Monday waking up and going to cross country practice instead of work. The only thing I will not miss is writing these stupid blogs. María (if you're reading this I hope you noticed that I put the accent on the "i" haha) was the best adviser I could have had and it was a pleasure doing work for her and with her. I would love to come back and check in on further research that is going on in the lab. Although she ruined my sculpture, she is a great person.

The practice presentations went pretty good. I am sad that this is all coming to an end. This has been a great experience.

What happened was we got our pulser/receiver back half way through the day. We didn't get the biofilm again because of course it didn't grow in the way that we needed it to. So we decided to scan some salt like substance in a dish instead because I need an image for my presentation with the 50mhz transducer. I wish this whole process wasn't so difficult but it is. It is what it is.

SURPRISE!!!

So I have decided to double up on my blogs since I haven't been doing so good with them at the end of last week. I figured it would be a great treat for all of you active blog readers out there. Today we need to get a 50 mhz transducer image no matter if it is a biofilm or what for my presentation. We are supposedly getting the biofilm finally today I hope, this thing hasn't grown in a couple of tries and it is a little frustrating. We also need our Pulser/Receiver back! Hopefully all goes well today and I will keep you updated! This adventure is coming to an end and I am very sad about that because I have enjoyed my time here.

Today was a slow day. Cleaned the and filled up the tank. Of course the biofilms still didn't grow. Then half way through the day our pulser receiver was taken away to U of R. We cant do anything until we get that back later tomorrow. Oh well.

It has been very quiet around the lab without Maria here. She went to Mexico. The Biofilm that we were supposed to get yesterday didnt work out too well so we should be getting one this morning. hopefully we can run some 50 mhz transducer tests on it and get some good results. I am looking forward to that.

Listened to undergrads speak about innovations most of the day. I found most of the presentations very interesting.
